Eilidh Brown, Marketing Coordinator at Finn Moray, shares behind-the-scenes footage from the team's week in Shetland. From the croft where Lisa Manson's interview was filmed to the dramatic Eshaness cliffs and the spectacle of South Mainland Up Helly Aa, this is a first-hand look at what it takes to capture Scotland's stories on location.
Eshaness Lighthouse — Drone Footage I
Aerial footage of Eshaness Lighthouse on the wild Shetland coastline, captured by videographer Calum Youngson during the Finn Moray production trip. The lighthouse sits on one of the most dramatic cliff edges in Britain, surrounded by volcanic sea stacks and the relentless North Atlantic.
Eshaness Lighthouse — Drone Footage II
A second aerial perspective of Eshaness Lighthouse and the surrounding Shetland cliffs. Calum Youngson captures the scale of the landscape from above, revealing the raw geology and crashing waves that make this stretch of coastline one of Scotland's most awe-inspiring locations.
Eshaness Lighthouse — Drone Footage III
The third in a series of drone sequences over Eshaness Lighthouse, Shetland. Videographer Calum Youngson sweeps across the cliff face and out over the Atlantic, showing the full majesty of a landscape that has shaped Shetland life for centuries.
First Flight: The Finn Moray Drone Over Shetland
The maiden flight of the Finn Moray drone, captured over the wild Shetland coastline during the filming of Lisa Manson's interview. The team invested in drone capability to match the cinematic ambition of AON: THE GATHERING, and there was no better proving ground than the wind-battered beaches of the islands. Calum Youngson and Eilidh Brown remain in Shetland to film Up Helly Aa, where Lisa's family are playing a starring role.
David Sheret Sits Down with Richard Gordon — The Full Story Behind Finn Moray
In a full and frank conversation, David Sheret, creator of Finn Moray and the songwriter producer behind AON: THE CALL, sits down with legendary Scottish BBC radio and television presenter Richard Gordon to unpack the idea, the intent, and the personal reckoning that lit the fuse. Sheret speaks plainly about turning grief into momentum, and about why he is choosing to spend his remaining years on the planet doing three things that cannot be faked: creating work with integrity, returning value to the Scottish communities that inspire it, and building a platform where undiscovered talent can be seen and heard.
Adele Henderson — The First Live Voice of AON: THE GATHERING
Aberdeenshire singer Adele Henderson has been selected as the first live artist for AON: THE GATHERING. Mum of two from Aberchirder in Banffshire, Adele will carry Foggie on stage — a track written by Finn Moray about the village and its people. Her selection marks a significant moment for the project, offering early proof that its Social Compact, built on finding talent, fairness, place and community benefit, is already working in practice. The song and the project were showcased on BBC Radio Scotland's Off the Ball with Tam Cowan and Stuart Cosgrove.
Rhuaridh McHardy — The Second Live Voice of AON: THE GATHERING
A 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Netherley, near Stonehaven, has been confirmed as the second live voice selected for AON: THE GATHERING. Rhuaridh McHardy has been awarded the vocal role on I'm The Bridge, one of two songs rooted in Aberdeen within the fifteen-track album that is building a living musical map of Scotland, town by town and village by village. Currently studying Business at Edinburgh Napier University, Rhuaridh remains closely connected to the north east and was selected following a competitive review process focused on vocal quality, authenticity and connection to place. His full interview, led by BBC presenter Richard Gordon, gives audiences a closer look at both the young singer and the wider cultural ambition behind AON.
